My name is Aled and I have been in business as a photographer for around 8 years.
I live in Bancyfelin, a small village just outside Carmarthen. I find this a fantastic central location and ideally located to cover all of south and west wales. I do go a bit further too. With clients based all around the UK and europe and all the sport I cover, it’s hard not to.
I work for a range of local and national clients, small and large. I cover both national and local news. I also work with a broad range of companies creating PR images for websites, promotions, annual reports and lots lots more.
I live with my wife and our collection of small children in near harmony. The latest addition to the clan being Baby Brychan
who is rapidly becoming a toddler. Who is now a busy two and a half year old!
I have always had a camera in my hand. Maybe this comes from my great grandfather Arthur J. Lewis being a photographer. He was based in Aberystwyth and took this quite famous ( in Aber at least ) photograph of elephants from a visiting circus bathing in the sea at Aberystwyth. Much of his work is now archived by the national library of Wales for it’s cultural and historic importance to the area.I hope one day to have the time to create some sort of personal project based around his work.
During the UK storms of 2014 I got the chance to be in Aberystwyth to cover the storms, which is something that Arthur Lewis did himself.
I think that this about me will have to evolve a little over time, so please check back to see the latest news…
